The BEST Protein Waffles

I said what I said: The BEST. I even capitalized it lol. This is another great way to sneak in extra protein in the morning while enjoying a breakfast classic.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 c of Greek yogurt (plain)

  • 3 tbsp of milk of choice (I used almond milk)

  • 1/4 c of oats

  • 1 scoop of whey vanilla protein

  • berries

  • maple syrup

  • cinnamon

How - To:

  1. Heat up your waffle maker and spray with nonstick spray (med-high heat).

  2. Blend all of your ingredients in your blender (except syrup and berries).

  3. Pour waffle batter into your heated waffle maker. Let cook for 3-4 mins (check on it; the timing depends on your particular waffle maker/the temperature you set it to).

  4. In a side dish, put some berries and a drizzle of maple. Put in microwave for 1:30s to let berries melt into a syrup. (Or heat berries and drizzle of maple syrup in a small saucepan on medium heat until reduced to syrup).

  5. Top your waffle with your syrup and a little bit of cinnamon and enjoy!
